In these troubles times, we all need time to regroup and refresh our minds. This school year, more than ever, the students who enter my classroom will need a space where they feel safe, secure, and happy. Without those things, their minds will have difficulty opening up and allowing for the creative energy to flow. Because of the new regulations, students are not allowed to share materials. I hope to have enough supplies to ensure each student has their own box of art materials. I want them to have peace of mind knowing they have exactly what they need every time they come to art class. Pablo Picasso said, "Every child is an artist." While in my classroom, every child is an artist; and every artist needs their own tools! With help, I will be able to supply each student with the tools they need to relieve stress, be creative, and express their imaginations! Although we are in the classroom now, we could move to an online platform any time. If each student has individual art supplies, their creativity can does not have to be left at the door, but can travel with them wherever they go!
