These materials will provide my students with fun activities that will encourage them to learn their math facts and other first grade math skills. The Math Is Fun books will add a literacy component either before or after each unit, and will also contribute to overall enthusiasm towards math. The set of books will be used at home for our virtual learners because I will be doing a recording of me reading them and posting the video to our virtual platform.
My students are more likely to become encouraged and challenged to master math skills from fun, exciting activities. The Pick-a-Problem activity may also be used for learning from home for a daily spiral review for my students. This activity will add a level of excitement for my students because I will allow one student a day to come draw our practice problem out of the box.
The addition facts folder game will be an engaging tool to use during small group instruction or in a math station once they have learned how to play.
