My Biology students will conduct a 21st century experinment and insert jellyfish DNA into a bacterial chromosome with the pGlo Transformation lab. Whether in person or at home, students will be able to observe the results of this biotechnology lab and gain insight about DNA. All students will get hands on experience exploring gene technology and real life specimens in the high school lab. Anatomy students will learn about the chambers of the heart and the lobes of the brain in this hands on lab. Preserved heart, brain, and eye pecimens will be dissected for a deeper understanding of the structure of mammalian anatomy. Adaptations will be made so that students can experience these labs virtually if necessary.
