Many students need extra fine motor strength activities more frequently than my team can provide. As an OT we see students infrequently but are always available for consultation. None of that can take the place of consistent hands on practice and that ends up being the teachers responsibility. Covid has created some observable regression in these skills and it is causing teachers to take steps back to review basic skills. These boxes will be created by me and my team and lent to classes in order to support students and teachers with fine motor strength and coordination to make them better writers and increase independence with self help tasks. Increasing these skills increases independence and more importantly self confidence.
