Spring of 2020 hit our world and kept running!! People around the world used technology to stay informed and connected. Teachers and students adjusted as much as they could to finish the school year with positive learning from home. Fast forward five months later and we are still battling with many new challenges. With many cuts in education, my district is still dedicated to give the best education we can during this terrible time. To help keep students safe and educated, my district is giving every Kindergarten-2nd grade student an I-pad and 3rd-12th grade learners their own Chromebook. These provided tools are GREAT, but we still need supplies. Thanks to Covid-19, school is going to be WAY different. Students must stay social distanced from one another, they are not allowed to share supplies or work next to each other on projects. Each student must provided all necessary school supplies crayons, scissors, pencils, etc. to help stop the spread.
Personal headphones, a wireless mouse and a personalized fidget would to help facilitate learning for my lower income students. These tools would help my students be able to fully participate in online assignments, communicate with others, and relieve anxiety with the use of a fidget.
Sadly, I have a fully stocked fidget bin, headphones and wired mice that I have purchased for all my classes to use but they are unable to because of this pandemic.
