Half of the high school biology curriculum involves processes and structures at the microscopic level. Students currently use print-outs of slide images to look at microscopic structures.
With the microscopes I have requested, my students will be able to gain the skill of using a microscope, and engage in looking at a whole new world under the lens! Having these microscopes will also allow us to look at living samples, something we have not been able to do before! Additionally, lab equipment helps make our class feel like a real lab, allowing students to truly see themselves as scientists.
