I work at a low income, title one school with a very diverse student population. My classroom library is not currently reflective of my students. They love to read but I want my third graders to relate to the books that they read. I want them to enter their classroom and see themselves as well as celebrate their differences. Creating a classroom library full of books that represent different cultures, skin colors, and overall kindness will be a great start to making my classroom more inclusive and welcoming. Thank you!!
