When students have injuries requiring cold pack therapy, it is important that they can come down once for a cold pack and not need to return it. This reduces time away from the classroom to return reusable items as well as reducing the need to repurchase items that might get lost or tossed.
Having a renewable but not reusable resource will be imperative once we return to the classroom. Right now we have reusable resources that can spread germs and viruses. They will not be an option once we return to school to keep students safe and healthy.
