I teach at a Title 1 school and my Pre-K babies LOVE books. For our themes I sometimes have to find books online to read. The kids enjoy this but prefer it when I have a real book in my hands. Then after I read it I can put the book in the library centers for my students to read. This helps with story retell and comprehension. Books are so important at this age and my goal is to foster a love of reading at an early age. When I read it may be the only book they hear all day.
