In the past, witnessing students not only do the math but can explain what they did is so exciting. Students feel like their work is meaningful beyond the walls of the classroom.
The item that I am most excited for are the double-sided dry erase boards, because my students will be able to solve math problems on the blank side and write their understanding of the problem on the lined-sided part of the board.
Also, it's fun to get away from the conventional, paper and pencil, way of showing math work!

Lastly, my students will benefit using decimal operation grids. Typically students need more visuals, and these grids will benefit their understanding for decimals when we are in our place value unit.
