My class (even my struggling readers) have taken a HUGE interest in graphic novels this year. These are books that are like chapter books--which are the coolest--but are also readable and decodable with the aid of pictures. I am hoping to encourage my students to read even more and develop a love for reading. There are books about emotions that help kids better understand how they're feeling and appropriate reactions.
I also have included art supplies as I believe that expressing themselves in art is super important and building for students. I love their ability for them to show their ideas and creativity in there projects!
Lastly, there is a cart that I intend to use to help students be more responsible for their own learning as they find the work they need, pick their own activities on their level, and make sure their work is completed! Thank you for supporting my kiddos!!!
