Due to concerns surrounding COVID-19, preschool will be taught virtually. This presents a new opportunity for me: teaching 3 olds through all-virtual instruction. Preschool education is very hands-on and it will be vital for my students to have basic materials at home in order for them to engage in my lessons. I have selected items which can be used for a variety of activities. For example, the fruit manipulatives are useful for counting and sorting. I am also very excited to implement a classroom library. Every family will be given different books every month to read with their child. Knowing that my students have a basic learning kit will enable me to plan lessons using the materials they have which will increase their participation.
