Three-quarters of my students live in low-income households. Even though they have many challenges in their everyday life, they are highly integrated into technology academically and socially. My students are discovering a new appreciation for math as they see how it is highly connected with the everyday world around them. Now many have a desire to pursue careers with mathematical backgrounds such as engineering and accounting. My only wish is to serve as a bridge to help my scholars continue their dreams in the field of mathematics.
