While in the classroom, students spend most of the time sitting down on a hard chair. Offering flexible seating during small groups will allow them to sit in stools that allow for movement and better focus.
Flexible seating allows students to move about while still focusing on the task at hand. No matter the subject, during small groups they will have the ability to sit as they please and get out some of the energy they have stored during the day. Allowing their minds to focus on what they are learning and not when the next break will be. It would be an escape from their daily routine.
