In order to successfully participate in a 21st-century world, students need to be able to use technology in innovative and creative ways. In the age of remote learning, it is more important than ever for students to be able to quickly adapt to the technological demands of an online classroom. I have worked all summer to create rigorous and meaningful units that can be adapted for both in-person and online learning, and it is imperative that I am prepared to provide my students with the best possible education in any given situation.
To best serve my students in an online environment, I am in need of technological resources that allow me to create and share materials, live-stream and videoconference, work with multiple programs at once, and communicate with my students in their parents; a tablet is the most cost-effective way to provide an experience as close to in-person as possible. As a result of COVID-19, extreme budget cuts have made purchasing technology for teachers difficult. The donation of this teaching tool will dramatically support instruction for my students during and after remote learning.
