I am a first year teacher, and I want to provide the best classroom library for my students as I possibly can. I want my students to truly see themselves and the community within these books, to help my students make personal connections and relate to the lessons we teach. These books will help me teach my students about showing kindness, respect, and empathy towards others. These book selections are representative of the diversity in our own classroom and community, which promotes my students' self-confidence and inspires them to dream big. The books will be used every day in our classroom, to foster positive discussions as a group and to help students learn about and explore the diverse world around us. Thank you for helping my students see themselves represented in our classroom literature!
