Since we know that much of our time together this school year will be done remotely; a video camera, lighting, tripod, and stand will help me bring my lessons right into my students' homes. Plus, with additional memory from SD cards and an external hard drive, I won't be facing limits to my time with them. This equipment will allow me to record lessons, share reading samples, run small groups, host Zoom meetings, and so much more. This equipment will help make the distance between my students and myself seem so much smaller. My hope is that, despite the necessary precautions we're taking, we'll still be able to develop a strong connection with the help of this video technology. Despite the unusual challenges this new group of 4th graders will face, they will know that I'm there to support them 100%!
