Right now my students all sit facing forward in a traditional style classroom. Since the pandemic, my students have come back to school craving positive connections and social interactions. I am a science teacher who is not traditional. I love to get messy with the kids and have them discover phenomena through their five senses. I want them to work together and have discussions. I want them to feel like it is to be a true scientist! But right now my classroom setup makes it really difficult to do so. These round tables will give my students space to conduct experiments, hold discussions face to face, but most importantly give them a sense of community and engagement in my science classroom!
