As a teacher who serves students who do not have a strong background in the English Language, Individual white boards would help motivate my students to participate in class. Math concepts are daunting to many of my students and many are reluctant to participate or engage in the classroom. The whiteboards would make it fun to write on and hold up and not require them to answer orally if they are uncomfortable speaking in front of the class. They would allow me to make math more like a game and less like a math class. Also, I teach many students who require special services as designated special education students and this would provide a way for me to accommodate their specific needs in my classroom.
