How are you? It's a question that is asked so many times throughout the day, and most of time we don't answer it truthfully. Students need to have experiences with rich social emotional learning tools to help them express themselves. It is my goal to have a social emotional focus of the week and have students listen to a picture book read aloud and then complete activities to go along with the skill.
By working together through the "stuff that makes life tough" we can all help each other. I want students to develop a strong sense of self and encourage healthy peer relationships. These skills last a lifetime and the earlier they can start hearing positive messages the better.
