Florida designates fifteen different chapter books as the Sunshine State Young Reader Award books (SSYRA) each year. Our school has competitions to see who can read the most SSYRA books or who can read all fifteen of them! I want to have the books available to my students so they can read them any time they choose. Student's reading comprehension and fluency will improve as they read through the set of books and participate in class discussions and activities around the books. The books cover a variety of topics and are all at different reading levels to accommodate all of our students!

About my class
