In the fourth grade my students will be using a classroom economy where students can earn money. Students need to learn these skills to become life long learns of money. A fourth grade math learning standard in our state requires students to use the four operations to solve money problems.
The students will use the money from the classroom economy to purchase incentives which includes: smarties, air heads, jolly ranchers, and other rewards. The easel pads will be used to display the costs of fines, bonuses, rent, and pay checks. The Velcro number dots will be used as a number visual on the floor. The first aid kit will be used to keep the classroom safe. The timers will be used for science projects and work timers in math.
Thank you in advance for considering my project.
