I am a first year teacher and cannot be more excited to finally have my very own classroom. With the pandemic, I am most worried about giving my students a sense of comfort at school, as well as giving them all the resources they need to be successful and happy in my second grade class. I want my room to be a daily escape from all the scary things happening in the world right now. With every lesson and activity, that will be my underlying goal, always, because if children don’t feel safe, comfortable, or happy at school, no one wins, not the student and definitely not me!
