Social and emotional learning (SEL) is the process through which children and adults understand and manage emotions, set and achieve positive goals, feel and show empathy for others, establish and maintain positive relationships, and make responsible decisions. Through our daily SEL lessons, my students are able to practice the skills taught with the goal of being able to access the skills when presented with a conflict.
Funding this project will help me continue to encourage my great little humans to make appropriate choices in our world. This project also includes some books on diversity that can be intermingled with the SEL situations that arise throughout the year.
