Due to the current pandemic, my students are stuck in the classroom for most of the day. Most of my students are not excited about reading and don't find a real interest in it, which I hope to change. My class consists of readers at many different levels and with many different interests. Being a first year teacher, my classroom library is small and most of the books are dated and uninteresting to my students. Our school is a Title I school with many of the students being from low socioeconomic status, and they don't have access to many books. I am hoping to gain a library that will expose them to books they may not have exposure to anywhere else and give them the joy of reading.
