By donating to our project, you will not only help student engagement and connection to the real world, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement. Although our students face many hardships including language barriers and economic hardships, they are eager to learn. Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences. These Scholastic Magazines feature interesting, informative articles about current events combined with color photographs and artwork, and inviting layouts and text features that encourage our curious elementary students to turn the pages to read about the world around them. These Scholastic Magazines will support my whole group instruction, small group instruction, and my independent centers. I love how it will improve my students reading fluency, vocabulary, comprehension, and critical-thinking skills.
