Kindergarten is very hands-on. I would like to reach my various types of learners by providing dry erase boards and magnetic letters and numbers and Play-Doh for our small group lessons.
The manipulatives will be used for math and literacy lessons, helping my students to learn with fun, motivating, and developmentally appropriate materials.
I will introduce basic reading and math skills with the Play-Doh. In my experience, students love to manipulate Play-Doh to make letters, shapes, and works of art to express themselves. This will also help strengthen their fine motor muscles to prepare them for writing.
