The diverse set of novels I've chosen will be used for my students' independent reading time both in class and at home. Our school library is closed due to the pandemic, and these novels will offer them options for independent reading. Also, the Teachers Pay Teachers gift card will allow me to purchase innovative online materials to use in Google Classroom for distance learning. Specifically, I will be purchasing online resources for our first anchor text, The Odyssey. Some of my students are 100% virtual students, and the remaining students are virtual learners for three days out of each week. They will be allowed to take these materials home.
