In an effort to create a warm and welcoming positive school climate, we are creating a cheerful environment around the building. Staff and students will use the Cricut to create uplifting bulletin boards, door signs, masks and t-shirts. Students will be able to design their own positive climate apparel and/or boards that put emphasis on Kindness, Empathy, Understanding and Respect. Social and Emotional learning is the processs through which children and adults understand and manage emotions, set and achieve positive goals, feel and show empathy for others, establish and maintin positive relationships, and make responsible decisions. Our school is looking to give our students an opportunity to express their feelings and emotions while enhancing their school environment. A Cricut machine and accessories will assist them in their creations. They can design signs and posters. They can create 3D designs, gifts, and games. Their own creativity is the limit, which we are hoping to foster and encourage while they are still young and imaginative.
