The grooming kits for the student's help the student's understand that daily grooming and keeping up your hygiene is very important. We want the student's to look their very best and feel good about themselves. The grooming kits consist of toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, bar of soap and floss.
We play games with the student to help their social interaction skills. We like to have the student play games that they would really do in their lives out in the community. Games that are needed that deal anything with Life Skills related example, the grocery store game, personal survival signs game, etc. Also we practice a lot out in the community how to use safety signs and how to recognize the signs in the community. We want the students to be as independent as much as possible before leaving our program. It is important for the students to be successful in their environments whether in Adult Day programs or in facilities to be able to be well- rounded, independent men and women in their community.
