Support Mrs. Aquino's classroom with a gift that fosters learning.
During this pandemic, my students are learning through virtual teaching and video conferencing. Unfortunately, my school didn't provide teachers with equipment to teach online. I am using an outdated laptop and projector to deliver my lessons. I write out the examples on a sheet of paper. This is not very interactive. I would love to use OneNote or Google Slides to prepare my notes and share them with my students. They would then be able to type their notes onto their copy. However, I can't use an electronic version of the notes since I can't write onto them directly like I would if I had a Surface Pro touch screen.
This project is to purchase a Surface Pro touch screen so that my students can engage with their own electronic copy of the math notes more effectively.
I want my students to be able to continue learning in an effective and engaging way. That's why this Surface Pro would be helpful. This investment in our children will continue to be used even when distance learning has concluded. I will continue to use the Surface Pro to engage my students in lessons beyond the classroom. I plan to organize virtual math meetups where I can guide instruction for my students using platforms like Zoom coupled with Google Slides. Notes are essential studying tool. At the moment, students who have a printer are the only ones who can benefit from the notes I provide them. But when my project is funded, I will be able to create and share an electronic copy of my notes with my students. They will then have their own electronic notes to use and study with.
