We have a large number of students interested in joining the band, but a lot of our school provided instruments are in need of simple repairs (we provide the instruments for them, free of cost). Last year when trying to have some students play in the band (after school activity) we ran into a lot of problems with instruments missing pads, or values sticking, or screws missing, that couldn't be fixed right away, so we had to limit the number of students who could participate.
We have such talented, musically inclined students in our school that I want to provide as many instruments to as many of them as possible. With the repair kit, the instruments can be fixed and be sent home for the students to use, or we can use the repair kit later should the students run into problems with the instruments while virtually learning (hey! things happen! things fall off....). With the instruments working properly my students will be able to excel in their learning of playing in the band!
The bell kits are also meant to provide more opportunity for my percussion students to play! We have a lot of students who are interested in playing the piano for the band, and these two bell kits will provide learning about a keyboard like instrument and be able to play with the group without having to share or wait to take turns.
