In March, as our schools shut down due to the Coronavirus, I realized that my students were struggling with remote learning. They missed the interactions with their classmates and the ability to show their work to one another.
I started using the free version of Nearpod - an interactive slide show tool that engages students and promotes collaboration - in our lessons and my students immediately fell in love.
My students became super engaged in each lesson - excited to show their work to their classmates, collaborate with one another and answer interactive questions.
Unfortunately, as I created more lessons on Nearpod, I quickly started to run out of space. With a platinum membership, I will have enough space to create all of the interactive Nearpod lessons I'll need for this year.
Having the use of Nearpod, my students will be able to streamline their learning through module based instruction that includes virtual field trips, videos, reading materials, polls, questions, and collaboration. Students are able to self pace or interact with the class during a teacher led Nearpod lesson.
