I have the wonderful opportunity of "looping" up to second grade with my first-grade students from last year. This will help minimize anxiety and maximize learning opportunities and productivity. They are a thoughtful, inquisitive, and endearing bunch of kids! This year we will be looking forward to doing hands-on projects for art, science, and more. We will also enjoy read-alouds that reflect our diverse student population. Students will enjoy seeing their friends in-person and we will review procedures and expectations. We will do check-ins to see how students are doing from a social-emotional standpoint, and provide opportunities to discuss subjects that are important to them.
