After the craziness of distance learning, I want to make sure I provide high quality instruction to my 7th and 8th graders by enhancing my lessons, labs, and projects.
My students are so excited to finally be back in the classroom, but this comes with its own set of challenges. Many students are disengaged or academically behind. My goal is to bring joy back into learning while also delivering effective lessons for my students.
Many of my students have never had a science class that they want to be in before. I want to provide that class. I hope to make my lessons inspiring and my classroom welcoming so that students not just tollerate being back in person, but actively look forward to it. I want students to be excited to come to school. I want them to be full of curiosity about the world around them. I want them to be comfortable enough t ask questions, and confident enough to explore the possibilities of science.
