These simple garbage cans will allow my students the opportunity to be independent and more comfortable at their respective seats. They will be able to throw away garbage and recycle without worrying about needing to move around the room unnecessarily.
My third graders want to feel a sense of responsibility and independence, but also ensure sure everyone stays safe, happy and healthy.
The batteries will allow us to continue using classroom management strategies such as touch lights for voice level that have been imperative with the new classroom routines in place.
