We will be using these books in our classroom to explore rhythms, form, instrument sounds, and improvisation. Students can create movement and musical compositions.
One example is to take a poem that is related to the book and say the poem after every few pages. You can also take certain words and have an instrument sound for that word.
These books can also be used to present in a program for the student's parents.
The books will also be used to practice fluency and vocabulary. Kids love hearing books read aloud and pairing them with music activities. It is the perfect combination.
