In our classroom, one thing that helped students get through this very challenging school year was having access to a variety of seating options, such as a wiggle chair or a standing desk.
We also had the opportunity to borrow a FitDesk stationary bike as another seating option and students loved it! It allowed them to participate in learning while moving their feet! Students also learned to be patient while they waited for others to use the FitDesk, practicing their positive communication skills to request their own opportunity to peddle and learn!
That FitDesk will need to be returned to our School Library in the fall, but we are hoping to have our very own FitDesk stationary bike for our classroom so that students can continue to have another active seating option!
