As a first year teacher, I had big ideas of what this year would like for me and my students. While this vision has changed slightly, as we were unable to return to the classroom and are now fully remote, my hopes for what I want to give my students has not changed.
However, with great ideas comes an incredible need for reliable technology with faster processing speeds. I have quickly noticed that even the simplest tasks are not possible with my current technology. The processor cannot keep up with sharing of screens, videos, or extensions. Unfortunately, this often results in the inability to make instruction engaging to my students. Between waiting for technology to load and rejoining the meetings, as I am often kicked out of them due to the processor being overwhelmed, our remote learning has not been as successful as we would like. A MacBook's processor would help give me the tools I need to connect with my students and give them the education they deserve.
