After the resurgence of the Black Lives Matter movement this summer, I want to make sure that all of my students understand the importance of celebrating diversity in both themselves and others. I will use these books as read alouds to scaffold conversations about diversity and social justice issues. I will use the easel pad so we can record our thoughts during these conversations and have visual representation of them. If we ever make the shift from virtual learning to in person learning, I will display these posters around the classroom.
