I am asking for donations to help provide supplies for my classroom. Interactive play is an integral part of early childhood development, and something I am committed to incorporating into my students' daily routines.
I am creating an interactive classroom by using toys, tools and art supplies that are pique their interest and encourage their imagination while they are playing and creating. I have chosen toys based on characters and themes that the children have told me are their favorites, which will encourage creativity and pretend-play. I have also chosen cause-and-effect toys to teach reactive play for my special needs students. I have picked some of our most beloved childhood books to enhance their love of reading through storytelling and with lesson plans centered around some of the themes of these books. The art supplies I have incorporated will help increase the dexterity and mobility in their hand-eye-coordination while making it fun and exciting! Finally, we are using stickers as incentives/rewards for wearing their masks throughout the day, which will help them feel rewarded, and special while wearing their masks. The stickers are also a sensory tool for many special needs students to help them feel secure when they arrive at school.
I am so excited to use these toys, tools and methods in my classroom! Thank you for supporting these incredible kids!
