The books you help fund will live in our virtual classroom this year. They will be used for synchronous and asynchronous read aloud times with the students. I have carefully chosen these books to introduce important topics that our young students need to learn about from an early age. The books will allow for conversations about race, language, diversity, and cultures around the world and in their community.
Your donations will allow students to open a book and, in turn, open new and familiar worlds where they will learn and feel proud of who they are.
Not only that, but by providing bilingual books in students' home languages, they will share their thinking using their whole language repertoires.
