My students are from a very small community that is over 98% white. With everything going on in the world, I would really like them to be able to read books from the viewpoint of more diverse characters. They have, in fact, been requesting books with a more diverse background and they have an interest in learning about other races/ethnicities and their histories. This project will help me put these books in the hands of students in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade. I know all of my students would enjoy having them available and would be very grateful.

About my class
