Using Lego in the classroom will help me teach various skills that align with our state social and emotional, math, science, and language art core. Some of those skills are collaboration and interacting with others. During this process students develop creative thinking, teamwork, communication, conflict resolution and problem-solving skills. These are skills that students were lacking during the 2020 COVID-19 shut down. As their teacher I am trying to focus on and implement these skills. With these tools students will be able to see themselves as creators, engineers, and innovators.
