This Scholastic magazine will be very helpful this year during remote learning. I will be able to provide each student with the same reading material that will be used as a class, and it can then be shared at home with their family. We will read these together as a small group and then have a discussion based on what we read which will help students grow their vocabulary and improve their language skills.
Being able to provide each student with a subscription to a Scholastic magazine will not only further their knowledge about different topics but will also increase basic skills that will help them be better prepared for kindergarten. Students will have access to a digital version that they will be able to access from home. They will also have access to other fun games, activities and videos that are related to each magazine.
I can assign these activities to the students to work on independently, and they can continue to either practice basic skills or use some reasoning and logic skills. These magazines can then become a part of their personal libraries.
