These books will help my students to learn and understand other cultures, as well as see themselves in books! I will use these books to help teach my students about other cultures and the importance of everyone being included. I do a read-aloud daily having both picture books and chapter books with diverse characters will help my students learn and see themselves as characters in books. These books would also be available for my students to read upon our return to school. Having books with diverse characters could help some of my students be more interested in reading.
