This project would help all of the 4th graders in our school get some of the back to school supplies that they need to be successful during distance learning. Because distance learning happens at home, many students do not have the supplies the need, that we would usually have a school. By sending them home with some necessities for daily lessons, students can better engage with the teacher and hopefully be more successful in their distance learning.
These supplies would benefit every 4th grader at our school, giving them a marker for art lessons, a pencil pouch to stay organized, and a pencil sharpener.
The 4th grade students are excited to be back in school, which at the moment is virtual. Having supplies with them at home will help add consistency to their daily instruction and day, and it will make lessons more engaging and accessible to all. The marker will help students to engage in art lessons through the computer. We will be able to easily do directed drawings, which were a big hit last year. A sharpener will ensure that all of their pencils and colored pencils are sharp and ready to be used, and a large pencil pouch will help them keep their supplies and papers organized while at home. Having supplies will make online lessons more engaging which will help motivate students to do their best.
