Getting books into my students hands and getting students access to the library is my top goal this year. With the back and forth or remote leaning and in person school, this will be challenging!
Access to the library and library materials will be done in the safest way possible and you can help me make that happen!
The 5 shelf bookcase will be clearly labeled Monday - Friday with each day getting a shelf. Books that are turned in on Monday will be checked in and put on the Monday quarantine shelf for one week. Think of all the licking of fingers to turn pages! *One week in district mandated.
Once we are able to have students back in our classrooms, the wipeable carpet circles that stick to the carpet will ensure students sit far enough apart in our library for social distancing during our library lesson. The wobble chairs for the computer that are made with antimicrobial protection will help me wipe down surfaces easily. And finally, the air purifier will keep the air that we are breathing as safe as possible, decreasing the likelihood of illness and missing instruction.
Thank you for helping my students and me stay as safe as possible this crazy school year!
