Financial literacy lessons begin with income. We study the employment trends, the pay scales, and then prep ourselves to go out and get that job! My Co-operative Education students take a skills based test with SkillsUSA. Of course they do! Part time work is a part of the curriculum! As they take the test, they are competing against every other student in the state taking the test. They qualify for state competition with their score and then have the option of taking the bus down state with us for the big competition! Each year we have winners from state who then continue to the National competition. And one year, thanks to YOU, our donors, we had a student win gold at Nationals!
