By building up my classroom library, I will be able to give my third-grade students access to a variety of diverse books, including fiction and informational texts, that interest them. They will have books that they can listen to me read-aloud to them, and books they can read in class on their independent reading levels. Both of which are so important to help them grow in their reading fluency, build their comprehension, and increase their vocabulary. Having high interest books will encourage them to continue to read on a daily basis and develop into life-long readers.
